Thanksgiving (US)

Thanksgiving is a US federal holiday celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. It originated from a 1621 harvest feast shared between Plymouth colonists and the Wampanoag people. Traditional foods include roast turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. The holiday emphasizes gratitude and family togetherness. The following day, Black Friday, marks the beginning of the Christmas shopping season and is one of the busiest shopping days of the year.
