Diwali

Diwali (Festival of Lights) is the most significant celebration in Hinduism and is widely observed across South Asia. The five-day festival involves lighting oil lamps (diyas) and candles, setting off fireworks, and decorating homes with rangoli patterns. It symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. Families worship Lakshmi (goddess of wealth), exchange gifts, and share sweets. Celebrated in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and Malaysia, Diwali is also observed by Indian communities worldwide.
